Ernie has been active as a Real Estate Broker, Property Manager, Construction Manager, Real Estate Consultant, Political Advocate and Developer in the Los Angeles and Sedona areas for more than 27 years in California and 13 years in Sedona.

Ernie earned his first college degree while working full-time as a Tool and Die Maker. He earned an A.A. degree in Tool & Die at Santa Monica College in 1965, a B.S. in Engineering from California State University Long Beach in 1971, and a California Lifetime S.D.S. Teaching Credential from UCLA in 1972. He also holds a California Real Estate Broker License. Ernie was certified as a hypnotherapist in 1996 by The National Guild of Hypnotists.

In 1972 Ernie served as Vice President for Caribbean Operation for Communications Technology Corporation Caribbean. He established and directed CTC’s Puerto Rico Manufacturing, Sales and Distribution Facilities, gaining an understanding of International Business and Law. In 1978 Farhat returned to Los Angeles as Director of Purchasing and a Member of the Board of Directors for Communication Technology Corporation. Ernie was responsible for all purchasing activities in Puerto Rico, Toronto Canada, Bremen Germany, Los Angeles and Atlanta Georgia.

Ernie launched his Real Estate and Development career in 1980 when CTC offered him the opportunity to manage its solely owned commercial real estate subsidiary. He served as Vice President and General Manager until he founded his company Sanjo Investments in 1983. Ernie has operated Sanjo Investments as a Commercial, Industrial Real Estate and Development Company from 1983 to present, with offices in Sedona, Arizona and Santa Monica, California.

In 2010, Ernie invested in and completed development of the final phase of the Vista Montana Townhouse project in Sedona. From 2012 to present, Ernie has been developing and managing the apartment buildings known as the Sedona Resort Apartments which are within the Wyndham Resort 22 acre planned development.

Ernie is affiliated with the Sedona and U.S. Chambers of Commerce. Ernie holds memberships in the American Industrial Real Estate Association, the National Association of Realtors and Sedona Elks.

Ernie became a Fellow of the International Federation of Hypnotherapists for his research in Auric Energy. He was the publisher and creator of Zen Golf Keys to Success Self Improvement Series (in the Library of Congress 2001). Ernie was the 1994 GOP nominee for the United States House of Representatives from California’s 32nd Congressional District, and he was formerly an Economic Development Commissioner for the 47th Assembly District in California.
