Steve Adams brings over four decades of deep regional roots, community leadership, and business expertise to the Board. A Verde Valley resident for 44 years after relocating from the Bay Area, Steve has dedicated his life to strengthening the local community through his professional work and extensive volunteer efforts.

After attending college in San Jose, California, Steve transitioned to the skilled trades and completed a rigorous four-year carpentry apprenticeship through the Carpenters Training Committee for Northern California.

As the founder and owner of Kirkwood Builders of Arizona LLC, Steve has established himself as one of the region’s premier custom home builders. His decades of experience running a successful construction business provide the Board with invaluable oversight in project management, fiscal responsibility, and local development.

Beyond his professional achievements, Steve is deeply invested in the growth and well-being of the valley’s families. He has been a fixture in local youth sports for years, volunteering his time to coach, mentor, and support young athletes. His family mirrors his commitment to the community; his wife served as a dedicated local educator for over 40 years, and their two children are proud graduates of Verde Valley schools and the University of Arizona. Known for his hands-on approach and readiness to lend a hand wherever needed, Steve brings a wealth of local knowledge, leadership, and a collaborative spirit to the Board. Steve currently serves as President of The Sedona 30.
